Frequently asked questions
How does the Standard plan work?
Choose the annual range that contains your active Krip employee count. The price stays fixed within that range, and Nextcloud users who are not Krip employees do not count.
Can I switch plans at any time?
Yes. You can upgrade from Free to Standard instantly. Downgrades take effect at the end of your billing cycle.
When should I consider the Enterprise plan?
Enterprise is for organizations with more than 10,000 employees or those that need high-availability deployments, custom integrations, SLA guarantees, or a dedicated account manager.
Is the Nextcloud app free and open-source?
Yes. The Krip Nextcloud app is AGPL licensed. Core records and workflows run in Nextcloud. Paid plans enable the complete product, licensed backend images, maintained integrations, and support.
Where does the licensed backend run?
Licensed backend images run on infrastructure you control. Krip does not host or receive your HR records, documents, or AI inputs.
What does Krip receive during license activation?
Only the license key, an instance identifier, and technical version information needed to issue and validate the entitlement. Employee identities and HR content are not included.
Is there a trial period?
New accounts get a 14-day trial of all Standard features with no credit card required.
How is my data protected?
Core HR data remains in your Nextcloud instance. Licensed backend images process premium features on your infrastructure. Krip receives only the account and license metadata needed to validate your license.
